Meeting Items Drag & Drop

Modified on Wed, 28 Aug at 12:45 PM

Drag and drop functionality enhances the ability to customise meeting content with advanced drag-and-drop capabilities. These capabilities are designed to offer more flexibility when setting meeting agendas, taking notes, and capturing meeting minutes.

This article explains how the drag and drop functionality can be leveraged within your meeting sessions. Key features include:

  • Flexible Reordering of Agenda Items: Easily drag and drop agenda items to reorder them, ensuring your meetings flow as intended.
  • Transfer of Notes, Actions, or Decisions: Seamlessly move notes, actions, or decisions between agenda items to ensure they are discussed in the most relevant context.
  • Management of Previous Actions and Decisions: Move actions and decisions from past meetings under specific current agendas, maintaining continuity and relevance.
  • Customisation of Top-Level Items: Effortlessly move top-level items like actions, decisions, or notes under specific agendas, enhancing meeting structure.
  • Conversion of Sub-Items: Convert sub-items into standalone top-level items, allowing for better itemisation and focus.

Flexible Reordering of Agenda Items

Easily drag and drop agenda items to reorder them, ensuring your meetings flow as intended.

How to drag and drop:

  • Dragging can be done by clicking and holding the agenda then dragging it, the item will then hover as you drag it to the desired position.

Example, dragging the "Any Other Business" agenda item to the top of the "Parking Lot" agenda item to reorder the items flow by having "Any Other Business" follow after "Actions Logs" has been discussed in the session.

  • Hovering the item to its new position will be indicated by the agenda's title being set under the desired order. Once it is dragged, drop it into position.

The "Any Other Business" item will now be positioned after the "Actions Log" item.

Transfer of Notes, Actions, or Decisions

Seamlessly move notes, actions, or decisions between agenda items to ensure they are discussed in the most relevant context.

Example, moving the "Finalise migration of the application to the new cloud environment" action into the Actions log agenda as this action requires immediate attention and needs to be discussed before moving onto any other business.

Management of Previous Actions and Decisions

Move actions and decisions from past meetings under specific current agendas, maintaining continuity and relevance.

Actions and decisions that are brought into a new session will have a confirmed status while actions/decisions that are created in the new session will still be in draft status before they are sent out to the respective assignees.

Example, the "Validations for post activities" decision is from a previous meeting session and is now dragged into its relevant agenda.

Customisation of Top-Level Items

Effortlessly move top-level items like actions, decisions, or notes under specific agendas, enhancing meeting structure.

Example, move the top level note as a note within an agenda.

Conversion of Sub-Items

Convert sub-items into standalone top-level items, allowing for better itemisation and focus.

Example, converting the "Integrating DocVault Pro with cloud-based services" decision from  the parking lot agenda to a stand-alone decision that will be discussed after all actions under the actions log.
