Enhancements - Export to Word / PowerPoint
We've enhanced the Export to Template capabilities by introducing SORTBY support for schedule tasks and impacts lists. This new feature allows you to customise the order of items in the tables by specifying sorting criteria directly within the report template. For instance, you can sort milestones by due date or risks by probability.
As an example, {@Schedule}[SORTBY(DueDate desc, Title asc)] will list the schedule tasks by due date first (descending) and then by title (ascending).
Enhancements - Managing Project Impacts
We've enhanced the project impact management on dashboards by introducing the ability to filter impacts by their subtypes. This new feature allows project managers to quickly isolate specific categories of risks and issues, such as those affecting project timelines. By selecting the relevant subtypes, managers can effectively focus on and address the most pertinent impacts. And remember that you can update impacts directly from the dashboard by simply clicking on the impact, which opens the impact dialog for easy editing.
Fixed
- UI Performance Issues: Enhanced UI performance for better user experience.
- Financials by Projects: Corrected an issue where baseline amounts were not displayed for previous financial years.
- Project Details Bulk Edit: Corrected an issue where the bulk edit process was deleting existing business driver values if the new values provided in the upload were invalid. Previously, if invalid values were submitted, the system set existing entries to blank instead of maintaining them. Now, the system will retain the original values if the new data fails validation checks, thus preserving the integrity and continuity of project data. This change prevents unintentional data loss.

Enhanced Meeting Management with Advanced Drag-and-Drop Capabilities
We are excited to announce significant upgrades to our meeting management module, enhancing your ability to customise meeting content with advanced drag-and-drop capabilities. These improvements are designed to offer more flexibility when setting meeting agendas, taking notes, and capturing meeting minutes.
Key features include:
- Flexible Reordering of Agenda Items: Easily drag and drop agenda items to reorder them, ensuring your meetings flow as intended.
- Transfer of Notes, Actions, or Decisions: Seamlessly move notes, actions, or decisions between agenda items to ensure they are discussed in the most relevant context.
- Management of Previous Actions and Decisions: Move actions and decisions from past meetings under specific current agendas, maintaining continuity and relevance.
- Customisation of Top-Level Items: Effortlessly move top-level items like actions, decisions, or notes under specific agendas, enhancing meeting structure.
- Conversion of Sub-Items: Convert sub-items into standalone top-level items, allowing for better itemisation and focus.
These updates significantly enhance the adaptability of your meeting setups, boosting productivity and ensuring a smoother workflow.
Financial Reference Field for Resource Allocation
We have improved financial tracking and accountability during resource allocation by adding a 'Financial Reference' field. This field allows PMs to link specific financial elements to resource assignments. Project Administrators have the flexibility to rename this field according to their specific financial tracking needs using the Project Field Setup page.
Here are some use case examples:
Job Code Association: Assign job codes to resource allocations to ensure accurate tracking and reporting against roles within a project. This helps in aligning resource costs with project budgets and facilitates detailed cost analysis.
Purchase Orders (PO): Link resource allocations to specific purchase orders. This is particularly useful for projects that involve external vendors or contractors, ensuring that all resource expenditures are tied back to approved purchase orders.
Purchase Requisitions (PR): Associate resource allocations with purchase requests to track anticipated expenses and ensure that resource planning aligns with procurement processes.
Internal Charge Codes: Allocate resources using internal charge codes to streamline internal billing processes and ensure that resource costs are properly allocated within the organisation.
Fixes and Enhancements:
- Non-Resource Forecast and Actuals Upload Feed: Enhanced validation now ensures records are not processed if the currency code is invalid.
- Schedule Task Bulk Edit: Files containing records for schedule tasks from different projects will not be processed, enhancing data integrity.
- Export to Template: Resolved an issue with the promoted flag. For details on how to use this feature, visit: Using the Promoted Flag.
- Schedule View: Dependency lines in the schedule view have been temporarily reverted to curved lines while we resolve a printing issue with straight lines.
