Question: How do I select what row a new task should sit in when adding it directly to the Gantt chart?
Answer:
When adding a new task to the Gantt chart, you have two options for positioning it:
Adding a Sub-Task
- If the task is a sub-task of an existing task, use the "Add Sub-Task" option next to the parent task (indicated by the "+" option).
- This will automatically place the new task under the selected parent task in the hierarchy.
- If the task is a sub-task of an existing task, use the "Add Sub-Task" option next to the parent task (indicated by the "+" option).
Repositioning an Individual Task
- If you're adding a standalone task, first create the task in the Gantt chart.
- Click and hold on the task title, then drag and drop it into the desired row position.
This allows for precise control over task placement within the Gantt Schedule.
