How to add/edit/rename a project portfolio

User roles:  ✔ Project Administrator ✔ Application Administrator

In this article you will learn how to edit/rename the project portfolio name and update the projects that are associated with the portfolio. 

Please note that you will need to be an application administrator or a project administrator to edit/rename project portfolio. 

Steps to edit/rename a project portfolio

Step 1. Navigate to the Administration Console page

Navigate to the administration console by clicking on your avatar and selecting the Administration Console option. 

Step 2. Select the Portfolio Management option & update the portfolio list

Navigate to the Project settings section and select the Portfolio Management option.

You can then add (Add Item button), edit (pencil icon) or delete (cross icon) portfolio names. Please note that deleting a portfolio will also delete all its sub-portfolios.  

Please note that deleting a portfolio will also delete all its sub-portfolios. However you will need to explicitly update existing projects whose portfolio value is set to the deleted value if this is required. Indeed, deleting a portfolio value from the application configuration does not update the project settings as the old portfolio values may still apply to the projects.
