In this article we cover off how to configure the types and categories of projects you will be tracking, and where projects are to be funded from.

Navigate to Administration Console from the drop-down menu under your Avatar.

From the Administration Console, navigate to the Project Settings section of the page and select Project Type Management.

The Project Type Management page allows you to configure the following data.

Data TypeDescription
Activity TypesThe types of projects that will be tracking in Fluid. (e.g. Standard Project, Business As Usual, Small Enhancement, etc). 

When setting project types, consider the sorts of activities resources should be able to book time against for different projects and define your types accordingly.
Once you have configured your project TYPES you can then define the kinds of activities that resources can book their time against depending on the TYPE selected for any given project.

Click on ADD ITEM, then select the project TYPE from the drop down (as defined under Project Types above) and specify the activity.

The different types of CATEGORIES that projects can be classified under (e.g. Infrastructure, Technology, Training, etc

This allows an additional level of categorisation on projects for reporting purposes.
Name the various sources of funding that projects can be financed out of.

Setting funding sources allows you to filter financial reporting on the various funding 'buckets' to get a view of how project spend is tracking against each pot of cash
