The Timesheet Administration page is designed to assist timesheet administrators in both configuring timesheets and managing timesheet-related activities.
This page provides an overview of timesheet performance and compliance for resources. It also enables administrators to extract timesheet reports and implement settings that support effective time tracking.
The Timesheet Administration page consists of the following sections:
Timesheet Settings – Provides access to pages for configuring timesheets.
Timesheet Compliance – Helps monitor and manage timesheet compliance.
Timesheet Performance – Allows analysis of timesheet submission trends.
Approvals – Displays timesheets awaiting approval.
Excluded Activity Status – Defines project statuses that prevent time booking.
Excluded Correction Status – Defines project statuses that prevent timesheet corrections.
How to Access the Timesheet Administration page
To access the Timesheet Administration page, select the Timesheet Administration link from your avatar drop down menu or navigate to the Administration Console page and select Timesheet Administration from the Financials & Timesheets section of the page.
Please note that only timesheet administrators can access the Timesheet Administration page.
Timesheet Settings
The Timesheet Settings section provides links to key configuration pages that enable administrators to manage timesheet settings effectively.
Configure Settings – Links to the Timesheet Configuration page where administrators can define timesheet structures, submission rules, and settings.
Manage Exempt Group – Allows administrators to manage the list of resources who are not required to submit timesheets. These resources can still submit timesheets voluntarily, but they do not receive reminders, and their timesheet performance is not tracked.
Manage Timesheet Admin Group – Links to the page where administrators can manage the list of users assigned as timesheet administrators.
Timesheet Performance
The Timesheet Performance section enables administrators to assess timesheet submission trends and resource performance under different managers or accountable executives.
Administrators can click on a manager’s or executive’s name to drill down into the details of their assigned resources.
Available analysis options include:
Drill Down – Provides an extended view of all resources reporting to a specific manager or accountable executive.
Performance Breakdown – Displays a breakdown of unsubmitted timesheets by individual resources.
Export to Excel – Allows exporting a detailed report of resource timesheets to Excel for further analysis.
Send Message – Provides the ability to send direct messages requesting updates from resources.
Timesheet Compliance
The Timesheet Compliance section helps administrators monitor and enforce timesheet submission policies.
For each timesheet week, administrators can view:
The number of resources expected to submit timesheets.
The number of timesheets submitted.
The number of timesheets approved (approved timesheets are included in the total submitted count).
Additionally, administrators have the following actions available for each timesheet week:
Send Reminder Email – Notifies resources who have not yet submitted their timesheets.
Notify Managers – Sends an email to managers listing the resources they oversee who have not submitted timesheets.
Export Submitted Timesheets – Generates an Excel file with timesheet submission data.
Export Non-Submitted Resources – Exports a list of resources who have not submitted their timesheets for that week.
Please note that the Timesheet Administration page also includes a Tools Menu, which allows administrators to export timesheets or missing timesheets for any selected date range. This feature provides flexibility in generating reports and analysing timesheet data efficiently.
Approvals
Timesheets are usually sent to the assigned manager for approval. However, if a resource does not have a designated manager in their resource record, their timesheet is automatically forwarded to the Timesheet Central Admin. This process ensures that all timesheets undergo proper review and prevents unapproved submissions from being overlooked.
Timesheet administrators play a crucial role in this process by reviewing and approving timesheets for resources without an assigned manager, ensuring that no submissions are left unprocessed. The Approvals section provides a centralised view of all timesheets that have been redirected to Timesheet Central Admin for review, helping administrators manage outstanding approvals efficiently.

Excluded Activity Status
The Excluded Activity Status section lists project statuses that prevent resources from booking time to them.
Restricting time booking for certain project statuses ensures that resources only log time against active and billable projects, preventing misallocation of hours and ensuring accurate reporting. For example, if a project is in a Pipeline, On Hold, or Suspended status, resources will be unable to log time against it, ensuring that work is only tracked for active initiatives.
Excluded Correction Status
The Excluded Correction Status section lists project statuses that prevent timesheet corrections.
Restricting timesheet corrections for certain project statuses ensures that historical data remains accurate and prevents unauthorised modifications to logged time. For example, if a project falls under a specified status, such as Closed or Archived, resources cannot amend previous time entries related to that project, maintaining data integrity.
